Been in Nazare since June 2013 we love it ,the relaxed atmosphere and friendly people Alex ,Dody ,
Loui and the town is a perfect walk away with good facilities.

When we arrived in June 2014 we had had a major engine problem 10 m west of Nazare and in very light winds sailed as close to the Harbour entrance as was sensible before being given a tow by a very kind fishing vessel. The marina itself was rather run down as government funding had been withdrawn. Showers were just satisfactory and although the small store is very good, with a very kind owner called Luis, there were no other obvious marina facilities or marina staff to help us move across the Harbour and no crane available to take out our masts. We were saved by a brilliantly helpful Englishman called Alec and his incredibly competent and resourceful German partner Dody who arranged everything, including crane-age and towed us across the harbour and to be put in the marina travel hoist before being transported home to the UK.
Nazare is a very active fishing harbour, the yacht club restaurant is excellent and the sardines up the fenicula in the old town to the north of the beach are wonderful!
